2007's here! hyeh! hyeh!........
the world laughs at me everyday....but i am immune to the distraction.
so its the new year and work is as per normal, same shit different day!
MOSAIC is just around the corner and the raindogs have 2 dates,
the 11th of march we play an acoustic 1/2 hour set at the concourse in the esplanade and on the 14th, a 45 minute electric set....this one's gonna blow..both dates we start at 9pm and its free BUT we are getting paid...hyeh hyeh! my first 2 gigs for 2007.
i have looked back at 2006 and i have often wondered how and why stupid things posted on forums about other people seem to affect them ...like the way animals react when its a full moon....and you thought they knew you ....or you knew them. its only lower case letters...to stir some shit ...thats all.
it also stumps me how a good friend could declare the end of a working relationship because of those things posted...on my birthday even.....the shock...the horror! the horror!
so much for that .. over and done with.
after the mosaic gigs ...its time to get my act together....already got the penny black, HRC, in line now only for the line up.
the past few months i have ammassed quite a bit of gear, a zoom H-4 recording device, a red ovation acoustic guitar and a black ibanez acoustic bass guitar specially purchased for the mosaic gigs.
oh...on the 10th of march its tower of power and i have tix....got to see rocco before i croak.
'not ready to make nice' the dixie chicks...they swept the grammys this year 5 awards....damn am i always right when it comes to speculating these....
in a gentle reply to 'welcome to the real world' who posted a comment on my previous blog, you SHOULD know by now that MODGURL is a neurotic psycho lacquer head so tread carefully should you ever cross that patch....chew well....

You are the sweeatest, dearest best friend anyone could have BUT online you become a FUCKIN MONSTER: It's the same in my case although I do practise some self restraint so if anything...the posts you made in soft did get under my skin...I'll give you that - Perhaps I hold true to the old adage; BAND MEMBERS STICK TOGETHER..THROUGH THICK & THIN...its not always about the music.

yes i do agree with you that i have been one big grouch whenever i strap on that bass guitar in the studio or on stage...but lately i have had the chance to recap all the gigs i did and it was all ok...some were extreme comedic some were boring but they were all the best times of my life.
maybe its age maybe not but charlies voice is ok (if not why is he still singing), ced's cymbals are ok what?, Gana's sex is homo (just kidding) and zain's drumming is 'there' heck he sings great also...
yes i have complained alot and i do apologise.
i have looked within myself and man I am NOT a good bass player, really! i forget songs after awhile and i dont have a really wide repertoire in my bag....to date...let's see, 165 songs off hand...not good really.
i still have not realised the song equation to step up and play virtually any songs when asked to do so...this i am still figuring out.
my country bass playing sucks big time....i can't get the feel.
my walking bass is out of practise...because i dont have any jazz gigs.
all these made me realise that i should not pass stupid comments anymore about other musicians...but truly, most of the time i am only joking.
just between u and me....
