the last of the 30somethings...now the big-o 40-o ..& a certain band competion!

hurrah!!!!! october 26th IS a day i will remember for years to come! the band i play bass guitar in 'syne of tyme' (somehow an ironic name that truly describes all of us) bagged 3rd place at the annual POWER98 POWERJAM 05 band contest, only 5 bands made it & that makes us top 3. againast all odds - totally bad sound engineering, hard to please young crowd and we all sold the blues & a classic 70's rock tune to them-the bought it wholesale! then...we have a fabulous frontman...who was THE one who rocked the house.
this time around i really felt my age and how out of place i felt among all the young-uns! somehow i figured we could have killed the winning band B.A.R.B IF we did a happening red hot chilli peppers medley or U2 medley, we definitely would have blown them out of the water.....thhe who medley did suffice though and the original tune '5c's'.
yeah we also got some offers to play at some pubs around town...that would be good for christmas!
another christmas list #2 -a time machine to travel back to january 28th 2005 to undo a lot of damages, my monthly salary to be ontime, world peace.
